Manual Car license

A manual car license allows you to drive vehicles with manual transmissions, offering greater control and engagement in driving. This license is suitable for those who want to fully understand and master vehicle mechanics. It provides flexibility, as it enables you to drive both manual and automatic cars. Additionally, obtaining a manual license can be beneficial for driving in varied terrains and conditions, and is often preferred by employers in certain industries.

Process

1. Registration   - Register for the course.

2. KPP 01 - Theory Course   - Complete a 6-hour theory course.   - Available in English and Bahasa Melayu.

3. Computer Theory Test   - Take a 45-minute computer-based theory test.   - Outcome:      - Pass: Proceed to the next step.     - Fail: Retake the test

4. Obtain Learner Driving License (LDL)   - Completion period: 7 to 10 working days.

5. KPP 02 Practical - In-Circuit Training  

6. KPP 03 Practical - On-the-Road Training  

7. JPJ Practical Test   - Take the JPJ practical driving test.   - Outcome:      - Pass: Proceed to obtain the "P" license.     - Fail: Unlimited re-tests until you pass (2x practical re-training required).

8. Obtain Probationary Driving License (PDL)   - Completion period: 7 to 10 working days.

Requirements

1. Age: You must be at least 17 years old to apply for a Class D (automatic car) license.

2. Theory Test: Pass the KPP (Kursus Pendidikan Pemandu) theory test conducted by the Road Transport Department (JPJ). This test covers road rules, signs, and safe driving practices.

3. Practical Training: Complete practical driving lessons with a certified driving instructor or driving school.

4. Practical Test: Pass the JPJ practical driving test, which assesses your ability to operate a vehicle safely on the road.

5. Documents: Prepare necessary documents such as identification (IC or passport), proof of address, and any other documents required by JPJ.
